Sculpture - the artist undertakes commissions for both private and corporate clients, and also for public bodies. A series of maquettes (sketch sculpture compositions) and drawings are initially made to illustrate a number of full-scale possibilities. Once a final maquette is chosen and approved, work will begin on the full-scale version. Clients are allowed to visit the studio to view work in progress, or a photographic record is made and offered to the client on completion of the work. Once the finished work in clay or working material is approved, the work is delivered to the foundry for moulding and casting.
Timber mobile assemblies - the selection of a design and manufacture of a timber mobile assembly, follows a similar procedure to that mentioned, except the services of a foundry are not used unless specified.
Portrait commissions - these require between five and ten sittings of two hours each. Drawings and photographs of the sitter may also be made for reference.
Payment - commissions are invoiced by three equal instalments: first on advance, second on approval of the finished clay and third on delivery of the work. Lastly, installation of the work in situ can also be undertaken by the artist's studio.
All the works shown on this website can be purchased directly from the artist's studio. The prices of these works are available on application. All life size works are initially cast in fibreglass resin for exhibition and for purchase are mostly cast in bronze. All works consist as limited editions. These editions mostly cover all works being sculpture - life size, figurine and maquettes and drawings, either silkscreen or Giclée and photographic prints. If any work is not to hand, it is cast to order and will usually take ten weeks and four weeks for a print. First a deposit of 50% is required with an order, the balance is payable on delivery within the UK. For orders made from outside the UK, full payment is requested in advance, and a returns policy allows, if in any case of dissatisfaction, a full refund of the purchase price is made.
